Caerphilly Mountain and Twyn Garwa

Today's walk was suggested by Cardiff Ramblers and we went up Twyn Garwa



And Caerphilly Common Mountain

Caerphilly Castle. And you can just see my house on the mountainside


It was 5km walk, but we decided we needed to go further, so did another 2km.

Off on a Walk

I went for a walk last weekend up the mountain at the top of the hill. I'd looked at a map previously but didn't have one on me, so was going from memory.
The first two are looking down into Caerphilly and at Senghenydd mountain. I'm pretty sure that in the middle of the second one is Garth mountain over the top of Senghenydd







I walked down Bowls Lane. I didn't expect it to be as ruined as it was.
This fallen tree looks beautiful.

The cows were looking at me. Mooooooooooooooooooooo

Looking back up the lane, the trees looked magical.

Especially on a zoom (well I wasn't going to walk back up the hill lol)

Long tailed tits

I had new visitors today, two long tailed tits. I'd been doing gardening and was sat taking a rest when they turned up. They didn't stay for too long, but I was very happy to see them.








I also saw this tiny insect so got my macro set up. It was hard to see him as he was the same colour as the shrub he was in.
