And Yet More Snow

I got the red wing :)

It snowed overnight big time. The birds needed me to go out and clear the way for them.

Then I went up the SIL's and we made a giant snowman.

Song Thrush

I've been puzzling over whether the spotty birds in my garden are song or mistle thrushes. I know I have some fat ones, but these are photos of the song thrush (I'm not even sure if there's only one)

Birds in the Snow

What a fab face. It seem like he knows he's been papped.

It was funny how the birds sunk in the snow.

What's he looking at?

Maybe all the starlings who obviously weren't impressed with the quality of food in "their" garden so cam to mine.

This tree was the most popular hangout.

Feeding Time

I had lots of groups of birds all eating at the same time and place.

Snow

We had rather a bit more snow than the previous post.

Not that it stopped the finches

Or the blackbirds

Wood Pigeon

I had a wood pigeon in my garden for the first time today. Blimey he looks a bit rough (and misshapen).

Fieldfares

Whilst looking at this thrush, I saw a bird with a very white belly. I looked it up and it was a fieldfare.

Then another

Then I think I counted 5 of them in the one tree. They didn't hang around too long.

I've never seen one before, so am sooooooooooo excited.

Robins at Christmas

We were given a birdbath for Christmas. The robin took a shine to it.

Can you see the fat one in the bush?
