Birds in the Snow

I've had a vast array of birds today.

The fieldfares have returned

Three robins in a row !!!

The blackbirds like digging in the snow

Redwings have returned also

've never seen Bramblings before

Even the long tailed tit knew which restaurant was guaranteed to be open

And the lovely goldcrest visited too.

Scar and Zorro

I had 2 friendly blackbirds in the garden today. They didn't care that I was moving about or was sat out watching them.

I called this guy Scar.

This chap has been seen around for a few days. I call him Zorro as the mark on him half looks like it should be the "Z" and half like a cape.

Birds in May

I'm pleased to report SISKINS, yay. Only seen them twice, though.

And long tailed tits. Only seen them a few times.

I don't take enough pics of sparrows. I have so many of them.

I'm sure this is a juvenile magpie. He was doing his best to get on the feeder, but just couldn'tmanage it.

Birds in the Snow

What a fab face. It seem like he knows he's been papped.

It was funny how the birds sunk in the snow.

What's he looking at?

Maybe all the starlings who obviously weren't impressed with the quality of food in "their" garden so cam to mine.

This tree was the most popular hangout.

Feeding Time

I had lots of groups of birds all eating at the same time and place.
